Collaborative Summer Library Program
Free Zoo Tickets
We are happy to announce our participation in #ReadForAdventure! Visit the library and check out "Juniper’s Butterfly Garden" and receive one voucher good for general admission for 4 people to the OKC Zoo and Botanical Garden! Reservations are not required to enter the zoo. This program runs until June 2023 or while supplies last and is courtesy of OKC Zoo and Botanical Garden and OG+E. Ask staff for more information.
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library
Enroll your child for free monthly books!
Stroud Library Society is now partnered with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to give a book each month to young children living in the Stroud area.
- If you have a child from 0-5 years old and live in the Stroud 74079 ZIP code
- Register your child today for Free at ImaginationLibrary.com!
- In 6-8 weeks, your child will receive their first book in the mail, 'The Little Engine That Could'.
- Books arrive in the mail monthly until your child's 5th birthday.
1,000 Books before Kindergarten
We encourage you to read 1,000 books with your child before he or she starts kindergarten.
Call the library to sign your child up to receive reading certificates and prizes for every 100 books read! We will give you a paper reading log or you can track your reading with the #1KB4K app:

Tiny Tots Story Time
Join us in person for the toddler's monthly reading program September-May!
Tots ages 18 months to Pre-K will explore colors, shapes, letters, numbers and words with stories, crafts and activities. Please call the library at 918-968-2567 to register your child. See Google Calendar for program dates.
Book Sale
- The friends of the library holds annual book sales, typically, the last weekend in May and the first weekend in December. The sale includes hardback, paperback, non-fiction, mystery, romance, western, and other fiction books. Donations of books for the sale are accepted just before each sale. Funds raised benefit the Stroud Public Library.
- The Library has books for sale year round on tables in the north lobby.
