Animal Regulations in Stroud
Read what the City of Stroud enforces regarding your animal.
  • Dogs shall be confined to the property of their owners unless if the owner has control of the dog with a leash or chain not to exceed 8 feet in length.
  • Any animal running at large within the city is subject to immediate confinement and disposal after a period of time.
  • It is unlawful to keep within the city any dog or other animal which, by barking, howling, or otherwise disturbs the peace and quiet, or injures or destroys animals or property belonging to any person other than the owner of the animal.
  • Every building wherein any animal is kept within the city shall be constructed of such material and in such manner that it can be kept clean and sanitary at all times.
License Information
A kennel license is required if owning five or more dogs and/or cats over the age of six months. Kennel license and pet tags expire on June 30.
